Hello, everyone. And for those of you back from holiday, I hope you've had a good break and you're feeling all refreshed. Today, I'm announcing a change. The podcast is now Global Trade Deciphered. I've put global trade in the title, making it simpler for people to find when searching online for related issues or in podcast apps. The core content and format remain broadly the same, though. The change is mostly in the name. Deciphered, even though it's more complex than alternatives like explained carries a connotation of code-breaking, which I believe reflects my aim to turn intricate trade topics into clear, actionable insights. Why code-breaking? Well, historically, the Greeks and the Romans used ciphers to safeguard trade secrets. Think of pricing agreements or shipping routes. Today, encryption drives financial transactions, blockchain and e-commerce. This series will keep pace with those trends offering analysis that goes beyond AI predictions. In fact what sets this podcast apart is not AI but rather the human perspective. AI can forecast trends but it can still miss the nuances of direct insight in my opinion because here I bring in top world-class experts and industry leaders, decision makers who share their latest thinking and future plans. I want this to come Anyway, here's the new intro. Intro Welcome to Global Trade Deciphered. I'm your host, Justin Hayden-Miller, a global trade lawyer with a leading European firm, decoding the policies shaping global trade and emerging trends. Your feedback has helped me decide what we should now concentrate on though. When I started the podcast, several people advised me to let it find its voice, to prepare some episodes in different styles and formats and length, for example, some formal and others less formal, and to reassess after about 10 episodes, including on the name which I've done. Take Google. It began as Backrub. It was actually called Backrub to begin with before becoming Google in 1997. referable to Google, meaning one followed by a hundred zeros. And this reflected Google's mission to organize vast amounts of web data. The rebrand clarified its purpose and direction, and that's what I'm wanting to do. Even I've had my name changed. I was originally called Oliver before my parents changed their mind and called me Justin, just as my birth certificate was being filed. Names influence, and global trade in the title keeps us on track, whilst to deciphered reinforces my goal to simplify complex issues. You've also indicated a preference for concise episodes, so I'll aim for shorter ones wherever possible. I've been publishing once a month, and you've also asked for more frequent releases, which I'll put into action following my next episode. To streamline the main feed, I'm moving episodes 2 and 6 to bonus status. The thumbnail now features a binary Next, a key motor industry leader will discuss innovation in the automotive sector. And the episodes and interview discussions are designed to stay relevant, whether you listen to them now or even in the years to come. Your input is already shaping the future of automotive.
